Over the past 20 years, our attorneys have defended Attorneys' Liability Assurance Society (ALAS) insured firms throughout the country in various state and federal courts in matters ranging from the routine to the very complex. In one of our most recent legal representations, our firm defended a national law firm in a $100 million malpractice action involving venture capital. We also recently defended another national law firm on an $80 million claim involving securities malpractice, and summary judgment in favor of another national law firm in a $100 million malpractice action involving venture capital.
We have also represented accountants and real estate professionals in a wide variety of matters. We recently represented a Big Four accounting firm in a $50 million malpractice arbitration brought by a receiver, and represented a Big Four accounting firm in a substantial malpractice arbitration in which the plaintiff eventually chose to abandon its claim.
