Justin Powley focuses his practice in intellectual property law and technology, including patents, copyrights, and trademarks. He leverages his technical background to effectively assist clients in a variety of emerging technologies and issues, such as blockchain, cybersecurity, data privacy, crowd-sourcing, drone law, open source software, and cloud computing.

Justin works with clients of all sizes to solve tough business problems, and to develop and implement practical strategies for licensing and asserting intellectual property rights. As a registered patent attorney, Justin has experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications in a variety of industries, including software, finance, aerospace, recreational devices, and business methods. Justin also works with clients to develop and implement website terms of use and privacy policies, perform due diligence in acquisitions and mergers, and address disclosure issues and concerns. His experience also includes drafting cease and desist letters to enforce intellectual property rights, and investigating parties in disputes or for potential infringement.
