Amina Mousa is an associate in the labor and employment group and is based in the firm’s Orange County office. Her practice focuses on complex wage-and-hour litigation, harassment and discrimination litigation, and compliance counseling.
Amina has been part of litigation teams representing companies in state and federal proceedings involving allegations of unpaid wages, unprovided meal and rest periods, wage statement violations, exempt-status misclassification, independent contractor misclassification, harassment, and discrimination. She also advises employers on compliance with state and federal laws in these areas.
Amina graduated magna cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2017 and she is a member of the Order of the Coif. Amina also served as the Articles Research Editor on the San Diego Law Review Board. She served as a research assistant to Professor Miranda Fleischer. In addition, Amina was an Academic Success Fellow for contracts and criminal law classes, providing teaching assistance and facilitating study groups for first-year students. She also served as a Certified Legal Intern for the University of San Diego’s civil clinic, where she earned high honors, and interned with the Department of Justice, Office of the Attorney General.
Amina earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University, Long Beach in 2011.
