EEOC Weighs In On The Coronavirus

Recently, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”) weighed in and provided guidance on the Coronavirus for employers. In sum, the EEOC emphasizes that employers should still be cognizant of their obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”) and the Rehabilitation Act – even during a pandemic – including with regard to reasonable accommodations and medical examination and inquiry rules. Notably, the EEOC highlights that the ADA and Rehabilitation Act rules do not interfere with or prevent employers from following the guidelines and suggestions made by the CDC, found here.
