Our Practice
As Mexico emerges as a key player within the global economy, an increasing number of United States companies are establishing and expanding operations in this growing marketplace. At the same time, a significant number of enterprises within Mexico are broadening their international business reach. At Snell & Wilmer, we are committed to serving our clients’ regional and international business needs. To this end, we established operations in Los Cabos, Mexico in mid-2008. This market expansion is in line with our growth strategy and is one we planned over several years by carefully analyzing opportunities in Mexico, developing in-house international law capabilities, and establishing collaborative ties to Mexico-based law firms.
Our Mexico practice offers a full range of transactional and regulatory legal services to those national and international businesses with interests throughout Baja and northern Mexico. The climate and beaches across this region have turned it into an increasingly popular destination and a focus of international economic development activity, especially from United States-based companies and investors. Our areas of practice include: business and finance, franchising and licensing, export controls and economic sanctions, cross-border investment, commercial litigation, product liability litigation, federal tax, state and local tax, immigration, labor and employment, antitrust and trade regulations, environmental, dispute resolution, health care services, real estate and development, gaming services, intellectual property, and technology.
