For the Summer 2010 issue of RE•SOURCE, I wrote an article entitled "Furnishing" Renewable Energy Under Arizona Law Utilizing Solar Service Agreements that provided general background on SolarCity Corporation's ("SolarCity") Application for an Adjudication by the Arizona Corporation Commission ("Commission") that SolarCity is not acting as a public service corporation ("PSC"), subject to regulation by the Commission, to the extent it enters into solar services agreement ("SSA") with schools, non-profit organizations or governmental entities ("Application"). This update discusses the Commission's June 30, 2010 Open Meeting at which the Commission unanimously voted to grant SolarCity's Application.
