- Mineral Project Financing - mineral project financing for Phelps Dodge, Sanchez Copper Mine, ASARCO Silver Bell Mine, and BHPCopper, Inc., Peru Mine
- Offshore Decommission Dispute - advising three major oil and gas companies on the Minerals Management Service's claim that assignors of outer-continental shelf leases have continuing liability for well and platform abandonment
- Mining and Oil and Gas Properties - permitting and enforcement matters, complex title examinations, due diligence in connection with acquiring, exploring, leasing and producing mining and oil and gas properties and transporting and processing minerals severed from those properties
- Placer Mining Claims - mining claims validity litigation to clear layers of unpatented placer mining claims from “selected” federal lands embraced within FLPMA § 206 exchange application
- Large Independent Oil and Gas Companies - oil and gas equity financing for major and large independent oil and gas exploration and production companies
- Complex Title Examination - complex division order and drilling title opinions for oil, gas and patented and unpatented mining claims in several western states
- Greater Altamont-Bluebell Field - division order title examinations for in-fill drilling operations in the Greater Altamont-Bluebell field of eastern Utah
- Madden (Deep) Federal Oil and Gas Unit - litigation in Wyoming trial and supreme court regarding construction of the complex Madden (Deep) federal oil and gas unit
- Oil & Gas Financing - provided opinion on behalf of borrower to lender of roughly $6 billion
