Our Attorneys
Nearly 200 attorneys are based in our Phoenix, Arizona law office. Snell & Wilmer was established in Phoenix, and this office continues to be our largest. Many of our attorneys are recognized regionally and nationally for their professional knowledge and contributions. Recently, Corporate Board Member magazine named Snell & Wilmer the best law firm to do business with in Phoenix, based on a survey of 52,000 directors and general counsel of publicly held companies. This marks the second year in a row that Snell & Wilmer was named a top Phoenix law firm. We were also recognized for our business practices by the Better Business Bureau of Central/Northern Arizona, which named Snell & Wilmer winner of the 2003 BBB Business Ethics Awards; and the 2003 Readers' Choice awards, presented by The Phoenix Business Journal, named Snell & Wilmer the top law firm in the Favorite Business Service Providers category, in addition the firm was named second runner up as Most Respected Valley-based Business with 50 employees or more. The publication, The Best Lawyers in America ® by Woodward/White, Inc. lists 32 of our attorneys, more than any other Phoenix, Arizona law firm. Many have been included in the list since its inception in 1983. We continue to attract top quality attorneys from around the country and we were recently profiled in the 1999 Harcourt Brace publication "America's Greatest Places to Work with a Law Degree©."

We have a very diverse client base. Snell & Wilmer currently represents 17 of the 27 corporate headquarters located in Arizona. Many of our attorneys also spend their days providing advice to start-up technology companies and privately held or smaller or emerging publicly held companies. Others regularly work with some of the world's largest manufacturers, software companies, major utilities, healthcare providers or other national businesses. Our client list includes Fortune 500 and other publicly owned companies, privately held businesses and individuals. Some of our larger clients are Apollo Group, Inc., Arizona Public Service, Bank of America, Ford Motor Company, Scottsdale Healthcare and U-Haul International.
Our Community
As reflected in our firm credo and pro bono statement, community service is an important part of our culture. Some of our more recent awards include the 2002 Corporation Philanthropy Award from Homeward Bound, 1999 Governor's Arts Award in the Corporate Category and the 1998 Maricopa County Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Program Large Firm Pro Bono Leadership Award.
