Why Suits?

It's a question a lot of our new associates ask: Why do the attorneys at Snell & Wilmer all wear suits? For one thing, it's all a matter of being prepared for the unexpected: walking past a conference room and being called in, seeing a client out at lunch and being asked to join the table, getting called to take a deposition on a moment's notice, having to go to court at the last minute.

At other less formal law firms, they may keep their suits hanging on the back of their doors, but at Snell & Wilmer, we're ready for whatever may come up, whenever we're needed. And you might say, as members of a community of success, we dress for success. In other words, it suits Snell & Wilmer.

“I think of our dress code in the following way: dress professionally, think professionally. It's about respect for the profession and for those with whom we interact. It's about culture, history, and tradition. We dress professionally so that we can send a message to our clients and community that we hold ourselves to the highest standards and that they deserve commitment and excellence. Our professional attire also allows us to be ready at a moment's notice as we work at the forefront of a rapidly changing legal and business environment. For me, that's why we wear suits at Snell & Wilmer.”
