Swen Prior's focus is primarily in labor and employment law, providing litigation defense and extensive preventative counseling to clients in all areas of his practice.

With human resources counseling, Swen advises employers in the development of employment contracts, policies, and practices, including employee handbooks, employment applications, sexual harassment policies and investigations, employee/supervisory training, accommodating disabled employees, non-competition and intellectual property ownership agreements, and severance agreements. He has spoken and written on employment law issues for various business, legal, and professional groups.

Swen also has significant experience litigating all forms of discrimination and harassment cases under Title VII and state anti-discrimination laws, as well as wage and hour issues. He regularly handles disputes involving the ADA, Title VII, FMLA, ADEA, LMRA, wrongful discharge, breach of contract, trade secrets, wrongful termination, defamation, workplace violence, and non-competition agreements. Swen also advises employers on Union-related issues, collective bargaining matters, and labor arbitrations.

Swen is a member of the Clark County Bar Association and the State Bar of Nevada and is active in the Young Lawyers Section and the Labor and Employment Section. He was honored with the Judge Sally Loehrer Pro Bono Service Award in 2006 and Snell & Wilmer's Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award in 2007 for his service efforts. A native of Springville, Utah, Swen earned his juris doctor degree from George Mason School of Law in Arlington, Virginia.
