Matt Milner’s practice is concentrated in labor and employment law and commercial litigation. His litigation experience includes federal and state court practice in a variety of employment-related issues. Matt has assisted his clients in defending against discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims under Title VII, Section 1981, the Arizona Employment Protection Act, the Arizona Civil Rights Act and other state laws. In addition, he has worked with employers and their employees to defend against efforts to enforce non-competition and confidentiality agreements.
Matt enjoys advising clients on a wide variety of compliance issues under federal, state and local regulations. He has counseled large and small employers regarding their obligations under the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, HIPAA, National Labor Relations Act and Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Matt has worked with clients to revise employment handbooks, social media policies and background check consent forms. Additionally, he has provided employers and human resources professionals with training in harassment prevention, service animal regulations under the ADA and best practices for responding to subpoenas. Matt feels privileged to have the opportunity to provide pro bono counseling services to several non-profit behavioral health providers in the Tucson area.
