Lulu Chiu’s practice is concentrated in corporate and securities where she advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private placements and venture capital financings, securities offerings, and securities law compliance. In addition, she has experience in entity formation and corporate governance, as well as a variety of general corporate matters.

Lulu’s practice also encompasses franchising, including advising both domestic and international clients on the establishment of new franchise systems and regulatory compliance.

  • Represented a franchisee of 80+ restaurant concept units in the sale of an approximately 45% preferred equity stake to affiliates of three private equity funds
  • Represented a fitness program concept in its franchise renewal registration filings, including updating its franchise disclosure document and re-drafting its franchise agreement to comply with and conform to current state of franchise law and compliance requirements
