Kathryn Hackett King’s practice is concentrated in labor and employment litigation. She represents and counsels employers on a broad range of labor and employment matters, including those involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour issues, employee leave, workplace accommodations, drug testing, trade secret misappropriation, restrictive covenants, unfair labor practices, plant closures and layoffs, and other employment matters.
Kathryn has experience representing clients in both state and federal court, in mediation and arbitration, and before state and federal administrative agencies, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Arizona Civil Rights Division, Department of Labor, and National Labor Relations Board. She regularly drafts employer policies, employment handbooks, employment agreements, restrictive covenants, and severance agreements. Kathryn has also conducted investigations into claims of discrimination and harassment in the workplace, and has provided preventative employer training aimed at preventing such claims.
