Dan Huitink represents clients in a wide range of commercial litigation matters. His practice focuses in financial services litigation, professional liability litigation, white collar defense and investigations, internal investigations and regulatory compliance, and appellate litigation.
Since joining Snell & Wilmer, Dan has frequently defended clients in both state and federal courts against various tort, contract, and statute-based claims, including claims involving covenants not to compete, loan modifications and foreclosures, and mergers and acquisitions. In connection with those claims and his additional experience with internal investigations and advising clients in relation to federal criminal matters, Dan also has specific experience with issues relating to electronic discovery.
Prior to joining Snell & Wilmer, Dan was an Assistant United States Attorney, a federal law clerk for the Honorable Michael J. Melloy on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and an extern for the Honorable John A. Jarvey in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa.
