Our Practice - What We Do
No law firm could consider itself full-service without an experienced appellate services division. Snell & Wilmer’s Appellate Services has served clients in Arizona and the West for decades at all levels of the appellate process, right up to the Supreme Court of the United States. We have experience handling appeals and extraordinary writs in the full spectrum of litigation matters arising from both state and federal trial courts. Services range from evaluating the merits of a potential appeal or writ to handling the matter through completion of the appellate process.

Cases handled by Snell & Wilmer's appellate attorneys originate from various areas of law. Our appellate attorneys handle appeals from cases in which the firm has served as trial counsel as well as cases in which Snell & Wilmer has not been previously involved.

Our Experience - What We've Done

Our appellate attorneys have extensive experience in the states where Snell & Wilmer’s offices are located: Arizona, California, Utah and Colorado, as well as the Ninth and Tenth Circuits. In addition, our attorneys have handled appeals and writs in a wide variety of other jurisdictions, including the United States Supreme Court, the states of Illinois, Virginia and Wisconsin, and the Second, Fourth, Seventh, Eighth, and Eleventh Circuits. Along with their court experience, our appellate attorneys have written and lectured on appellate advocacy.
